The pre-chillers are used to cool, clean and disinfect poultry carcasses after slaughter and disemboweling. In the process of poultry slaughtering and processing, poultry carcasses need a certain amount of time to complete from blanching to packaging and refrigerating after cutting. Bacteria such as salmonella can multiply exponentially on the surface of poultry carcasses at 1°C,posing a major food safety hazard. Therefore, poultry carcasses need to be pre-cooled to the temperature specified in national poultry processing codes and standards after removal of internal organs, in order to ensure that the quality of meat in the post-order separation process will not be reduced because of bacterial breeding.
